A federal country is a type of country where more than one level of government can exist plus where each and every party have equal chances of winning . In our country government is divided among national level , state level and local level , so here exist more than one level of government . In addition to this our state government is also not answareable to the central government or we can say state government doesn't depend on Central government to take decision that are provided in the state list . In our country there is equal competition among different political party, any party can win if people elect it . Also it's not compulsory that the party that is at the central level should be the only party that is at the state level .Due to some of the above mentioned factors our country India is a federal country .
