Step-by-step explanation:

In a triangle, the exterior angle is always equal to the sum of the interior opposite angle. This property is known as exterior angle property. Any two triangles will be similar if their corresponding angles tend to be congruent and length of their sides will be proportional.

GIVEN :-

A Triangle ABC

BC is produced to D forming exterior Angle , Angle 4

To prove :-

Angle 4 = Angle 1 + Angle 2

Proff :-

We have

Angle 3 + Angle 4 = 180 ( linear pair axiom ) -------I

Angle 1 + Angle 2 + Angle 3 = 180 ( Angle sum property ) ----II

Comparing I and II

Angle 3 + Angle 4 = Angle 1 + Angle 2 + Angle 3 ( Angle 3 is from both sides so will cancel )

Angle 4 = Angle 1 + Angle 2

Hence proffed

Note :-

Diagram in attachment

We know

• The sum of angles of a linear pair is always equal to 180° that's why such angles are also known as supplementary angles

• Angle sum property of triangle states that the sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180
