sin`¹ (3/5) + sin`¹ (8/17)
now, sin`¹ x+sin`¹ y = sin`¹ [x√(1-y²)+y√(1-x²)
so, sin`¹ (3/5) + sin`¹ (8/17)
= sin`¹ [3/5√{1-(8/17)²}+8/17√{1-(3/5)²]
= sin`¹ [3/5√(225/289) + 8/17√(16/25)]
= sin`¹ [3/5×15/17 + 8/17×4/5]
= sin`¹ [9/17 + 32/85]
= sin`¹ [77/85]
Now,let sin`¹ (77/85)= x
sinx = 77/85
p/h = 77/85
so,p= 77 and, h= 85
so,b= 36
hence, cosx = b/h = 36/85
so,x= cos`¹ 36/85 hence,proved
