Prove it !
 \\ \leadsto \boxed{\sf 2 versinA + { \cos}^{2} A = 1 + { versin}^{2} A} \bigstar \\

I'm even unaware of the term "Versin"
please explain that as well !

Step-by-step explanation:

versine or versed sine is a trigonometric function found in some of the earliest trigonometric tables. The versine of an angle is 1 minus its cosine. There are several related functions, most notably the coversine and haversine

To Prove :-

2 VersinA + Cos²A = 1 + Versin²A

Used Concepts :-

For any angle "x" :-

  • Cos x + Versin x = 1
  • ( a - b )² = a² + b² - 2ab

Solution :-

We have to prove 2 VersinA+ Cos²A = 1 + Versin²A . So we prove it simply by taking LHS First ;

Let LHS i.e 2 VerSinA + Cos²A

=> 2 VerSinA + Cos²A

=> 2 VerSinA + ( Cos A )²

=> Using Cosx + VerSinx = 1 we get

=> 2 VerSinA + ( 1 - VerSinA )²

=> Using ( a - b )² we get ;

=> 2 VerSinA + [ 1 + VerSin²A - 2 VerSinA ]

=> 2 VerSinA + 1 + VerSin²A - 2 VerSinA

=> After Cancelling 2 VerSinA ;

=> 1 + VerSin²A

LHS = RHS

Henceforth , Proved that 2 VersinA + Cos²A = 1 + Versin²A

Additional Information :-

Trigonometric functions are of many types. Some of them are ;

  • Versin Trigonometric Functions
  • Chord Trigonometric Functions
  • Exterior Secant Trigonometric Functions
  • Hyperbolic Trigonometric Functions
  • Simple Trigonometric Functions
  • Inverse Trigonometric Functions .
