Let's assume that 5-2√3 is rational
& 5 is a rational number.

We know subtraction of two rational number results a rational number

Then 5 - 2√3 -5 results -2√3
Which is irrational

Therefore our assume is wrong.

Hence, 5-2√3 is irrational.
