Pythagoras Theorem is known as Thales Theorem
Given:- 《B = 90°
Traingle ABC is a right traingle
To Prove :- AB^2 + BC^ 2 = AC^2
Construction:- Join BD
PROOF :- In traingle ADB and ABC
《 A= 《 A ( Common )
《 ADB = 《 ABC( 90°)
By AA criterion
《 ADB = 《 ABC
Traingle AB/ AC= AD / BD
AD^2 =AD× AC. - 1)
Similarly Traingle BDC~Traingle ABC
BC/ AC= DC/ BC
BC^2 = AC× DC -2)
ADD 1) AND 2)
AB^2 +BC^2 = AD× AC+ AC× DC
= AC( AD+ DC)
Hence
AB^2 + BC^2 =AC^2
Hence Proved
