brother your question is wrong you have to say that one by root 2 is irrational because 1 by 2 is rational number I am now proving one by root 2 is irrational number
Let us assume 1/root2 as rational
Let us multiply root2 up and down.
So, root2/2 = a/b ( a and b are integers and b not equal to 0)
root2 = a*2/b
=integer * 2 / integer
= rational
But this contradicts with the fact that root 2 is irrational
Therefore our assumption is wrong, 1/root2 is irrational
