prove that -1/2is the solution for 2(x-3)+7=4(x+1)-2

2(x-3)+7=4(x+1)-2

2x-6+7=4x+4-2

2x+1=4x+2

4x-2x=1-2

2x=-1

x  =  \frac{ - 1}{2}
