\textbf{To prove:}

\mathsf{(i)\;1+C(3,1)+C(4,2)=C(5,3)}

\mathsf{(ii)\;C(2,1)+C(3,1)+C(4,1)=C(3,2)+C(4,2)}

\textbf{Solution:}

\textbf{Concept used:}

\boxed{\begin{minipage}{8cm}$\mathsf{C(n,r)=\dfrac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}=\dfrac{n{\times}(n-1){\times}......r\;factors}{1{\times}2{\times}3{\times}......r\;factors}}$\end{minipage}}

\mathsf{1.}

\mathsf{1+C(3,1)+C(4,2)=1+\dfrac{3}{1}+\dfrac{4{\times}3}{1{\times}2}}

\mathsf{1+C(3,1)+C(4,2)=1+3+6=10}......(1)

\mathsf{C(5,3)=\dfrac{5{\times}4{\times}3}{1{\times}2{\times}3}=10}.....(2)

\mathsf{From\;(1)\;and\;(2)}

\boxed{\mathsf{1+C(3,1)+C(4,2)=C(5,3)}}

\mathsf{2.}

\mathsf{C(2,1)+C(3,1)+C(4,1)=\dfrac{2}{1}+\dfrac{3}{1}+\dfrac{4}{1}=2+3+4=9}.....(3)

\mathsf{C(3,2)+C(4,2)=\dfrac{3{\times}2}{1{\times}2}+\dfrac{4{\times}3}{1{\times}2}}

\mathsf{C(3,2)+C(4,2)=3+6=9}.......(4)

\mathsf{From\;(3)\;and\;(4)}

\boxed{\mathsf{C(2,1)+C(3,1)+C(4,1)=C(3,2)+C(4,2)}}
