Prove that 1 N = 10*5 dyne

F = ma

SI units:
N = kg × m/s*2

CGS units:
dyne = g × cm/s*2 = 10*(-3)kg × 10*(-2)m/s*2
= 10*(-3-2) kg × m/s*2 = 10*(-5) kg × m/s*2
= 10*(-5) N. (since kg × m/s*2 is N)

thus... dyne = 10*(-5) N or N = 10*(5) dyne.
