Hey there !

_____________________________

Given : 2 + 2 = 4 .............(1)

To prove : 2 + 2 = 5

Proof :

We can say that..

20 - 20 = 25 - 25

[Because both equals to 0]

20 - 20 = 25 - 25

5 × 4 - 5 × 4 = 5 × 5 - 5 × 5

4 ( 5 - 5 ) = 5 ( 5 - 5)

On cancelling [ 5 - 5 ] both sides..

 ∴ 4 = 5

Now,

As we have proved above : 4 = 5

We can substitute value in equation (1)

2 + 2 = 4 [ Given ]

=> 2 + 2 = 5 [ 4 = 5 ]

Hence,

It is proved that 2 + 2 = 5

Now, coming to the mistakes that we have done above, because it is universal truth that

 [ 2 + 2 = 4 ]

So, in the above solution we can't cancel  5 - 5 both sides  because both the sides , there are different numbers multiplied.

Hope you are satisfied.

Thanks for the question!

Hence, proved 2+2=5

Given:- Proving sum

TO PROVE:- 2+2=6 Or 2+2=5

SOLUTION:-

Let's take

20 - 20 = 25 - 25 ( Both equals 0)

We can also break the numbers as

(5 × 4) - (5 × 4) = (5 × 5) - (5 × 5)

By taking 4 and 5 common on both the sides

4(5 - 5) = 5(5 - 5)

Cancelling (5 - 5) on both sides we get by dividing (5 -5) on both the sides

4 = 5

As we know, 2 + 2 = 4, thus we can substitute 4 with 2 + 2

By substituting 4 with 2 + 2

2 + 2 = 5

Hence, proved 2+2=5
