Let us assume to contrary that 2/√3 is rational.

Therefore, 2/√3 =P/q (where p & q are coprime integers)

=>√3=q/2p

Since, p and q are integers,

=>p/q is rational.

=>√3 is rational.

But, this contradicts the fact that √3 is irrational.

So, our supposition is wrong.

=>2/√3 is irrational.
