The rational numbers are in the form of p/q where p, q are integers
2/√5 = p/q
2q/p =√5
If p, q are integers the 2q/p is rational number
Then √5 is also rational number
But it contradicts the fact that √5 is irrational
So, our assumption is wrong
So, 2/√5 is an irrational number
