Answer:

let (3+2root 2 ) be a rational number where we can find 2 intergers in the form of a/b where a and b are co prime such that

(3+2root 2)=a/b

root 2=a/b-3(1/2)

since a/b are rational no so a/b-3(1/2) is also a rational number and soo root 2 is also a rational number which contridicts the fact that root 2 is irrational

hence our assumption was wrong

therefore 3+2root2 is an irrational number
