let 3√2/4 is rational no
3√2/4= a/b( b is not equal to 0)
3√2=4a/b
√2=4a/3b
LHS is irrational
RHS is rational
it is a contradiction
our supposition is wrong
hence 3√2/4 is irrational

 \frac{ 3 \sqrt{} 2 }{4 } = \frac{p}{q}

then 3√2=\frac{4p}{q}

√3 = \frac{4p}{3q}

but √3 is Irrational ...so .
