∴ 3 + 2√5 = a/b

2√5 = a - 3b/b

√5 = a - 3b/2b

a - 3b/2b is a rational no. therefore √5

is also a rational no. but it is contradict

that √5 is irrational

      therefore our assumption is wrong

          and 3 + 2√5 is an irrational no.
