Prove that 3+√2 is a irrational number.​

assume that 3+√2 is rational

3+√2=a/b

√2=a/b-3

√2=a-3b/b

therefore a-3b/b is rational

but √2 is irrational

by contradiction,

3+√2 is irrational..
