first of all to prove root 5 consider it as a rational no. the take a and b coprime numbers such that
a2÷b2=root 5 sq.
a2=5b2
therefore, 5 is divisible by a2
5 is also divisible by a
further take c another coprime such that ..
root5b2=5c2
5b2=25c2
b2=5c2
hence 5 is divisible by b2
5 is divisible by b..
proved 5 is irrational so our assumption was wrong.. 3+2root 5=a2÷b2 here 3+2 is rational no. and root is irrational so 3+2root5 is irrational...
