Let us assume that 3+4√5 is a rational number

Therefore 3+4√5=a/b where a and b are coprime's and b not equal to 0

4√5 =a/b-3

4√5 =a-3b/b

√5 =a-3b/4b

therefore a-3b/4b is in the form a/b which is a rational number.

But this is contradicts the fact is that √5 is irrational number.

Therefore, our assumption is wrong and 3+4√5 is an irrational number.
