Heya!

Here is ur answer....

Let us assume, 3√5-8 is rational

Therefore,

3√5-8 = a/b [ where a,b € Z]

3√5 = a/b+8

3√5 = a+8b/b

√5 = a+8b/3b

Here,

LHS is irrational

RHS is rational

Since, a rational and irrational are never equal!

Therefore, 3√5-8 is irrational

Hence proved!
