To Prove : 3+√5

Prove :

By contradicting method,

Let 3+√5 is rational number

=> 3+√5 = p / q

(rational number is in form of p/q where q is not equal to 0)

=> √5 = p/q - 3

=> √5 = p/q - 3q/q

in which √5 is irrational number.

We know that, Irrational number does not equal to rational number.

There fore, we concluded that

3+√5 is an irrational number.
