Where p and q are real numbers .

5=(p/q)/3

p is rational .

q is rational.

3 is rational .

But 5 is irrational .

It means that (p/q) /3 is also irrational .

This contradicts the fact that they are rational .

Conclusion : 3√5 is irrational.
