3/2root3  =p/q
2root3 =3q/p
root3=3q/2p 
3q/2p is in the form of p/q ,so it is a rational number.so root3 is also a rational number. but root3 is an irrational number . so our assumption is wrong and 3/2root3 is irrational number.
