prove that 3 root 4 is an irrnational number


Anonymous: if you mean 3√4, then it's not a irrational no.....because√4=2.

let 3√4 be a rational number r.
now √4=r/3.
which is a rational number.
if r is rational then r/3 is also rational then √4 is also rational number.
this contradicts the fact that √4 is an irrational number.
so our assumption is wrong.
3√4 is an irrational number.
