Hey buddy here is your answer

let 3-root 5 be rational
two co- prime be a and b

(3-root5) =a/b ,where b not equal to 0
a/b - 3 = root 5
a-3b/b = root 5
a and b are integers
a-3b/b = Rational no

1 is rational
root 5 is a rational
But our contraditation the fact that root 5 is irrational

Therefore 3 - root 5 is an irrational number .

Hope this method will be helpful to you !!!
