let us assume that 4-5√3 is irrational

4-5√3=a÷b

5√3=a÷b-4

√3=a÷5b-4

therefore a÷5b-4 is rational

then √3 is also irrational

but √3 is irrational

by the method of contradiction

our assumption was wrong 4-5√3 is irrational
