To be contrary 5-√2 is rational number such that a & b are co prime

5-√2= a/b

√2=a/b-5

√2 = a-5b/b

since a-5b/b is a rational number. so √2 must be a rational number but √2 is a irrational number.

hence our assumption is wrong. So 5-√2is a irrational number
