Let us assume that 5+√2 is irrational number

(ie) 5+√2 = p/q (Where p,q are postive

integer and co prime not equal

to Zero)

√2= p/q-5

√2= p-2q/q

√2 is irrational number (P and Q are integer p-2q/2 is a irrational number)

This contracits that the fact that √2 is irrational number

so our assumption answer is incorrect

Hence 5+√2 is irrational number
