Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that √5+√3 is a rational number.

so,

let √5+√3=a/b( where a and b are co-primes)

= >√5=a/b-√3

=>√5=a-b√3/b

Here we know that √5 is an irrational number it cannot be in the form of a/b. This contradiction has occurred because of our incorrect assumption. i.e.,√5+√3 is a ration number.

Hence prooved:)
