  • 5√8×2√6 is a surd

These are surds because :-

\sf \red{5 \sqrt8 =  \sqrt{5 \times 5 \times 8 =  \sqrt{200} } }

=sqrt 200 and

 \sf 2 \sqrt{6}

=√2×2×6

=√24

Numbers like square root 200 and square root 24 are called surds.
