let root 5 be rational number

root 5 = a / b ( a and b are co prime )

5 = a^2/b^2

5b^2 = a^2 .......... (1)

a^2 is divisible by 5

a is also divisible by 5

a = 5C

25c^2 = 5b^2

5c^2 = b^2

b^2 is divisible by 5

b is also divisible by 5

It contradict that that a and b are co prime numbers.

So, our supposition was wrong.

root 5 is irrational number
