6-2√7=p/q and q is not equal to zero

-2√7=p-6q/q

√7=p-6q/-2q

we know that p-6q/-2q is rational ,but √7 is irrational .

this leads to contradiction. therefore our assumption that 6-2√7 is wrong hence it is an irrational number
