we know that ,
according to mean proportion,
4/6=6/9
therefore ,4×9=6×6......cross multiplcation
36=36
therefore,LHS=RHS
hence it is proved that,6 is a mean proportion of 4 and 9

Solution :

***********†************†****************
Mean Proportional :

If 'x' is a mean proportion of a

and b . Then

a : x = x : b

=> x² = ab

=> x = √ab

*****************************************

Here ,

a = 4 , b = 9

Therefore ,

mean Proportional (x) = √4×9

= √36

= √6²

= 6
