Prove that 7 minus root 3 is irrational

let us assume, to the contrary, that 7-root3 is rational.

so, we can find coprime a and b ( b is not equal to 0)

such that

7-root 3=a/b

7-a/b= root 3

since, a and b are integers, we get 7-a/b is rational, and so root is rational

but this contradicts that fact that root 3 is irrational..

so we conclude that 7 - root 3 is irrational..
