Answer:

In order for any three given lengths to be the sides of a right angled triangle , they have to be a pythogarean triplet.

pythogoras triplet is given by ,

2m , m²+1 , m²-1

2m is the least value in the triplet and m²+1 the greatest.

If we substitute the values,

2m = 8

m = 4

m²+1 = 16+1

        =17

m²-1 = 16 - 1

        = 15

this proves that they are the sides of a right angled triangle.

17^2 = 15^2 + 8^2
