To prove:

aμc= aμb x bμc.

Proof:

This question is associated with Snell's Law in refraction.

RHS:

\therefore \:   _{a}\mu_{b} \times  \: _{b}\mu_{c}

 =  \dfrac{v_{b}}{v_{a}}  \times  \dfrac{v_{c}}{v_{b}}

 =  \dfrac{v_{c}}{v_{a}}

LHS:

\therefore\:_{a}\mu_{c}

 =  \dfrac{v_{c}}{v_{a}}

So, LHS = RHS , hence proved !
