given that,

ABCD is a parallelogram then,

AB =CD (opposite angles of a parallelogram are parallel and equal)

AD=BC (opposite angles of a parallelogram are parallel and equal)

to prove,

ABD which is congruent toBDC.

construction,

draw a diagonal for B to D .

proof,

In triangle ABD and triangle BDC

AB = CD (given)

AD=BC ( given)

BD=DB(common)

hence,ABD which is congruent to BDC(by side side side congruent rule)

hence proved.
