Suppose a fraction 2/2 . All of us know the answer would be one but according to law of indices when same bases are in division they can be subtracted so , 2 power 1-1 which means 2^0. As I have proved that 2/2 = 1 then 2^0 must also be equal to one .
Hence, proved.
Hope it helps.

Here is your answer,
For eg. x^1 = x
Because power of a number shows that the number should be how many times
as in eg we see that if the power of x is 1 than it is 1 times of x,
Here if the power is zero so it means that zero times x which is only one.
RTP :- X^0 = 1
Proof :-
=> x^0 = 1 × x^0
=> x^0 = 1 × ( nothing to multiply because
if the power is zero then it means x have no any value )
=> x^0 = 1
Hence, Proved
Here we multiply by 1 as we can multiply any number by 1
