the coefficient of restitution in Perfectly elastic body is given by


velocity of separation = E × velocity of approach


for a perfectly elastic collision the restitution is 1


ie :-


U1 - U2 = e × V2 - V1


where e = 1


so


U1 - U2 = V2 -V1
