right \: side =  \frac{1}{1 +   { \tan( \theta)}^{2} } \\  =  \frac{1}{  { \sec( \theta) }^{2}  }  \\     =  \frac{1}{ \sec( \theta)  \times  \sec( \theta) }  \\ =  \cos( \theta)    \times  \cos( \theta) \\ =  {\cos( \theta)}^{2}  \\  = left \: side\\ hence \: proved
