 = ( {cosec \alpha  - cot \alpha })^{2}  \\  = ( { \frac{1 - cos \alpha }{sin \alpha } })^{2}  \\  =  \frac{ {(1 - cos \alpha })^{2} }{ {sin}^{2}  \alpha }  \\  =  \frac{(1 - cos \alpha ) ^{2} }{1 -  {cos}^{2}  \alpha }  \\  =  \frac{( {1 - cos} \alpha  ) ^{2} }{(1 - cos \alpha )(1 + cos \alpha )}  \\  =  \frac{1 - cos \alpha }{1 + cos \alpha }
