let the 4 angles of a rectangle be ABCD
angleA + angle B + angle C + angle D = 360
( since angles of a quadrilateral sums up to 360 degree)
In a rectangle all the angles are equal
therefore A = B = C = D
4A = 360
A = 360/4
A = 90
therefore each angle of a rectangle is 90 degree
hence proved
