so

we have seen two eclipse

one is solar eclipse and another is lunar eclipse

we know that they both occur because of shadows of earth and sun

in solar eclipse the shadow of moon falls on earth but we also know that the remaining rays of sun cross the earth just because the earth is smaller that sun because if the earth will be greater than Sun then the remaining rays will not able to cross the earth

and we can't see the moon also

so we r able to see moon just because as the remaining rays of sun go on moon then it brightens because earth is smaller that sun
