Prove that earth is spherical in shape by sighting a ship​

If we observe a ship approaching a seaport from a certain distance, first the top of the ship is seen . As the ship comes closer to the seaport , we can see the funnel of the ship and then the full ship. Similarly, as it leaves the port , it disappears over the curved surface of the earth gradually and we can see the lower part of the ship after that the top in end .
