Given m=3^x and n=3^x, assume that m+n=3^x+3^y=3^z.

Note that any power of 3 is an odd no. An odd no. plus an odd no. cannot be equal an odd no. Hence, u have a proof by contradiction . I leave it to you to show the powers of 3 are odd.
