by corresponding angles x=100

then by alternate angles y=100

Step-by-step explanation:

by another method

100⁰ and angle 1 forms a linear pair

which means angle 1 is 80⁰

then angle 1 and y form a linear pair and as we

know angle 1 is 80⁰

therefore

y+80⁰=180⁰

y= 180- 80

y =100
