Step-by-step explanation:

given that : x and Y both are odd positive integers. so AT this :

let us assume that X is 2q+1

and Y is 2q+3

3 and 5 both are odd positive integers .

x^2+y^2 is even

(2q+1)x (2q+1) + (2q+3) x (2q+3)

(4q^2+2q+2q+1 ) + (4q^2+ 6q+6q+9)

four q square + 4 q +1 + 4 q square to 12 q+ 9

it is even but not divisible by 4.

hope it helps uh
