Prove that if x and y are odd positive integers then x square + y square is even but not divisible by 9.

brunoconti: it is correct. the sum of two odd numbers is Always even, but it could divisible by 9 like the exemple i showed you
brunoconti: if x = 2k +1 and y = 2l +1 are two odd numbers then x + y = 2(k + l + 1) which is even. But x^2 + y^2 = 4(k^2 + l^2 + k + l ) + 2 and for k = 1 , l = 4 we would get 90 which is divisible by 9.
