Prove that in the following equation both sides are equal . 20 multiply 12 + 20 multiply -4 = 20 multiply (12-4)

To prove:

20×12+20×(-4)=20×(12-4)

240-80=20×8

160=160

L.H.S=R.H.S

Proof:

(20 * 12) + (20 * -4) = 20 * (12-4)

               20*(12-4) = 20*(12-4)    

                       20*8=20*8

                         160=160

Therefore LHS = RHS

(using distributive property of multiplication over addition)
