Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume that 2+3√2 /5

So 2+3√2/5 = a/b where a and b are co prime

2+3√2 = 5a/b

3✓2 = 5a/b-2

3✓2= 5a-2b/b

✓2 = 5a-2b/3b

Where ✓2 is irrational by theorem 1.4

Which can't be equal to rational no.

Hence our assumption was wrong

2+3✓2/5 is irrational
